Hi, I’m Bianca!

Welcome to my teacher lifestyle blog and thank you for visiting!!

For over 10 years I have worked in the field of education. I’m currently a middle school special education/language arts teacher in the Pacific Northwest and very proud mom!

The beginning of BlikeBianca.com:

In 2018, I was at a decision-making crossroads in my life personally and in my career. I was feeling burnt out and underappreciated. After reflecting and trying to figure out in some ways how to reinvent myself, I came to the conclusion that I needed something more in life. It lead me to a journey to create a teacher lifestyle blog- BlikeBianca.com. A place to share a purpose beyond the classroom, give teachers tips and offer parenting advice. I also was able to combine two things that I love: writing and teaching.

My very first blog post details how I started college to become a journalist. So in some ways I feel like I have come full circle, which gives me a lot of peace.

I hope you enjoy the teaching tips, parenting advice, and a bit of lifestyle knowledge so I can help you to continue to stay purposeful in everything that you do and to possibly lead you on a journey as well.

Love Always,

Bianca

Behind the name BlikeBianca.com:

When I chose the name, “BlikeBianca: Being More than a Teacher,” for my blog it was meant to not offend. I did get an email once that seem to imply I want others to be just like me and that is not at all what I desire.

BlikeBianca.com was to showcase that as a teacher, sometimes our life gets consumed by only teaching. But we are more than just a teacher in and outside of our job. In the classroom we are: parents, counselors, confidantes, psychologists, protectors, and caregivers, (just to name a few) all of these are beyond what our job description outlines. But we still come to the aid of every single person we encounter. We are all more than just teachers and more than what we do on the surface and that is all I want the world to understand. ~Bianca

Welcome to my journey!
